Titled “Folk Mahal,” this year’s event builds upon the success of previous festivals held in 2019, 2020, and 2023. In an interview with The Hindu, Arun Kumar shared that this year’s festival is dedicated to the late Sukumar Babu, a pioneer in the drumming community in Karnataka and the founder of the Babu School of Rhythms in Bengaluru South. Sukumar’s contribution to the local drumming scene is commemorated in this year’s event, highlighting his role as a trailblazer.

A special feature of the festival is the participation of Arun Kumar’s Guru, the exceptional drummer Ranjit Barot. Kumar expressed anticipation for a full house at the event, emphasizing the exceptional musical experience Barot is set to deliver.
