Brann Dailor of Mastodon steps back to the era of the mastodon in a new commercial for his signature snare drum, created by Tama Drums.
The advertisement portrays Dailor as a caveman, diligently honing his drumming skills using bones and tree stumps. His primitive practice session is interrupted by the arrival of an alien, who presents the prehistoric Dailor with the Tama “Brann’s Bronze” snare drum, along with a futuristic message from Mastodon bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders.

In other news, Mastodon is set to begin a U.S. tour with Lamb of God on July 19 in Grand Prairie, Texas. The tour will feature performances of their respective 2004 albums, Leviathan and Ashes of the Wake, in their entirety, celebrating the 20th anniversaries of these releases.
