Perry Farrell, frontman of Jane’s Addiction, is undergoing medical treatment after a “physical outburst” aimed at guitarist Dave Navarro during a recent concert, according to his wife, Etty Lau Farrell.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Etty shared that she and Perry are taking time to reflect and heal after their tour was abruptly cut short. The incident occurred during a Boston performance, where Farrell allegedly tried to punch Navarro on stage.

“Perry is the gentlest of souls,” she wrote. “We’re just as shocked as you are by his outburst, but he was pushed to his absolute limit. We sincerely apologize.”

Etty also revealed that Perry has appointments scheduled with both an otolaryngologist and a neurologist. She dismissed rumors that his actions were fueled by intoxication, labeling such reports as “false narratives.”

“With all your love and support, Perry will overcome this,” Etty said. “He’ll recover, and soon he’ll share his music and artistry once again.”

Following the incident, Jane’s Addiction announced a temporary hiatus, citing Farrell’s ongoing behavioral and mental health challenges. Perry issued a public apology, taking full responsibility for his actions.

“After reflecting, it’s clear I need to apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, as well as our fans, family, and friends,” he wrote in an Instagram story. “Reaching my breaking point led to unacceptable behavior, and I fully own my actions.”

Despite the turmoil, Navarro has continued with his own ventures, recently releasing a new wah pedal in collaboration with Dunlop and Supreme. The pedal is based on the Cry Baby Wah GCB95 and features a Fasel inductor for a “focused wah sound.”
