Flute and Piano Duo to Enchant Cherry Hill with “Music of the Americas”

Flutist Tadeu Coelho and pianist Dmitri Vorobiev will present their concert titled “Music of the Americas” at Cherry Hill on Sunday, October 13th. The performance, starting at 3:00 PM, will feature works by Aaron Copland, Katherine Hoover, Eduardo Gamboa, and other 20th-century composers.

Both musicians are professors at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Dr. Coelho, originally from Brazil, frequently performs throughout the Americas and is known for his skill as a soloist and clinician, as well as his advocacy for contemporary music. He has released several CDs and published works and performed at Cherry Hill in 2023 alongside classical guitarist Joseph Pecararo.

Dr. Vorobiev, hailing from Moscow, Russia, is a renowned pianist celebrated for his dynamic performances and deep interpretations of classical pieces. He began studying piano at age five, pursued education in Russia, and later moved to the U.S. to attend the School of the Arts. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and a Doctorate from the University of Michigan School of Music.

A reception will take place after the performance. Admissions will be available at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 12 and under. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the entire 1858 plantation house.
