Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival, which spanned 23 shows last summer, has successfully raised more than $125,000 for various charities selected by the iconic guitarist himself.

The festival was established by Slash with the aim of donating proceeds to support marginalized communities and mental health initiatives. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance.

Five non-profit organizations have benefited from the tour, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in memory of Lucy-Bleu Knight, Slash’s stepdaughter who tragically passed away earlier this year at the age of 25. Other beneficiaries include The Greenlining Institute, War Child, The Equal Justice Initiative, and Know Your Rights Camp. Plus1 assisted in organizing and distributing the proceeds from the festival.

“The goal of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival is to unite music fans during these divisive times, celebrating the spirit of the Blues alongside other artists who share my passion for the genre, while raising awareness and funds for several charities that I have supported over the years,” said Slash.

He expressed gratitude to the artists who performed alongside him this year: “Thank you to Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson, and Larkin Poe.”
