The Manhattan Chamber Players, a collective of New York-based musicians dedicated to delivering exceptional performances of the finest chamber repertoire, will hold a concert on November 3 at the Chester Meeting House as part of the Robbie Collomore Concert Series.
During the event, four members of the ensemble will present two piano quartets: Gabriel Fauré’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in G Minor and Ernest Chausson’s Piano Quartet in A Major.
Violinist dePasquale, a faculty member at both the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Juilliard School Pre-College Program, is also on the faculty at the Heifetz International Music Institute, where she directs their Program for the Exceptionally Gifted. As a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician, she performs at prestigious festivals and series around the world. DePasquale is the violinist of the Aletheia Piano Trio and is part of the artist roster for the Manhattan Chamber Players and Noree Chamber Soloists. She also collaborates with the Chameleon Arts Ensemble, Marinus Ensemble, and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Violinist Fleming is the founding artistic director of both the Manhattan Chamber Players and the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival, a role he took on in 2015. In 2024, he was appointed artistic program director of Chamber Music Monterey Bay. He is also on the viola and chamber music faculties of the University of New Orleans, Atlantic Music Festival, Festival del Lago, and The Woodlands Chamberfest.
Born in Tel Aviv, cellist Katz began his studies at the age of seven. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the New England Conservatory and his master’s degree from The Juilliard School. He also completed a Doctor of Music degree at SUNY Stony Brook. As a member of the Lysander Piano Trio, Katz won the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Competition and received first prizes in both the 2011 Coleman Competition and the 2011 J.C. Arriaga Competition.
Pianist Sasaki is known for her “imaginative and versatile” performances as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator, having showcased her talents across the UK, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, and throughout the United States. Her debut album, “Obsidian: Mika Sasaki plays Clara Schumann,” released on Yarlung Records in 2016, received high acclaim. Based in New York City, she serves as a faculty member at the Juilliard School.
