The Folk Club of Reston-Herndon will continue its 2024-2025 Concert Series with a performance by guitarist Ryan David Green on Tuesday, November 19th, at 7:15 pm at Amphora Diner Deluxe (1151 Elden St.) in downtown Herndon. Established in 1985, the non-profit Folk Club has been a platform for exceptional performers, offering a premier listening experience for both musicians and their audience.
Known for his “virtuosic acoustic guitar” style, Green’s fast fingerwork is always in service to creating unforgettable melodies. His performances blend intricate instrumental guitar pieces with delicate vocal tunes, taking audiences to both ethereal and unexpectedly intimate places.
A graduate of Boston’s Berklee College of Music, Green has performed across four continents and was featured in Acoustic Guitar magazine. He has been named “Best Guitarist” twice in the Tucson Music Awards, where he currently resides. His original compositions have been placed in numerous TV shows, including on E!, Lifetime, and ABC Family/Freeform.
As part of the acoustic duo Ryanhood with Cameron Hood, Green was named “Best Group/Duo” at the International Acoustic Music Awards. His debut solo-guitar album Off and Running was released in June 2024.
