Twice Grammy-nominated trumpet star Ibrahim Maalouf is set to perform in Bangkok for the first time at Lido Connect on Rama I Road on November 26, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is part of Maalouf’s highly anticipated “Trumpets Of Michel Ange (T.O.M.A.) Tour” and is presented by Live Promotions with support from the French embassy.
Maalouf, a French-Lebanese trumpet player and composer, is known for blending Middle Eastern traditions with jazz, pop, and world music. Born in Beirut and raised in Paris, his unique sound is influenced by his diverse cultural background, creating a captivating fusion of Western and Middle Eastern musical elements. His use of the quarter-tone trumpet, a creation of his father, allows him to seamlessly merge scales from both worlds.
Having performed in prestigious venues around the globe, Maalouf has collaborated with iconic artists such as Sting, Quincy Jones, and Stevie Wonder. With 16 albums, over 40 countries toured, and two Grammy nominations in 2023 and 2024, Maalouf has become a beloved figure in the global music scene.
The upcoming Bangkok performance promises to be a musical journey, with Maalouf leading a talented ensemble of eight musicians. Together, they will deliver an immersive soundscape that is both sophisticated and accessible, making this a memorable concert for the audience.
