Accordion-driven jazz is a rarity, but it’s a unique style championed by Ben Rosenblum, who is gearing up for a return performance at Miller Symphony Hall. Rosenblum and his sextet, The Nebula Project, will perform as part of the Jazz Upstairs Series on Friday, October 25.
WDIY’s Bill Dautremont-Smith sat down with Rosenblum, a pianist, accordionist, composer, and bandleader, ahead of his concert to discuss the band’s unconventional instrumentation, the musicians involved, and the diverse global influences that shape their sound.
