Don’t miss the Festival of Drums and Percussion Malaysia 2024, set to take place on Saturday, December 7, at Dewan Seri Budiman, UiTM Shah Alam. This one-day event promises an exhilarating experience, bringing together Malaysia’s top musicians for an exciting showcase of drums, gendang, and percussion instruments.

The festival boasts a full schedule, featuring interactive workshops, clinics, a drumline performance, and the grand finale—the All-Star Show Gala Concert in the evening.

Aznan Alias, music director for Datuk M. Nasir, emphasizes that the workshops and clinics are a key highlight of the festival. “This is the perfect chance for audiences, music lovers, and students to gain invaluable knowledge, ask questions, and interact in a personal and intimate setting. In fact, the festival offers eight different clinics, providing a wealth of insight and experience,” he shared.

Fly Halizor, bassist and music lecturer, also highlighted the event as an excellent networking opportunity for aspiring musicians, describing it as a fantastic platform to learn and connect with others.

The evening Gala Concert, which begins at 8:45 PM, will present an exciting mix of modern, Latin, and traditional percussion, accompanied by orchestral arrangements—promising an unforgettable experience for music fans.

Organized by JS Music, the festival aims to celebrate percussion arts and showcase Malaysia’s creative talents.

Tickets are available in two options: the Festival Pass (which provides access to all events and dinner) and the Concert Ticket (for the All-Star Show Gala Concert only).
