Nandi Bushell, hailing from Ipswich, Suffolk, gained widespread recognition through her YouTube channel, which has garnered over 75 million views.
The newly launched Stairways Music School is geared towards children under the age of 18, offering two-hour sessions of instrument instruction and band performance opportunities.
Expressing her excitement about the venture, Nandi remarked, “Participants can acquire a plethora of new skills, making the overall experience immensely enjoyable.”
Having embarked on her musical journey at the tender age of five, Nandi has since mastered various instruments and honed her vocal talents. Her impressive resume includes performances alongside renowned artists on some of London’s most iconic stages, such as Wembley Stadium with the Foo Fighters and The O2 Arena with Lenny Kravitz.
Reflecting on her exhilarating experiences, Nandi reminisced, “Performing for 90,000 people was truly surreal and unforgettable.”
Attributing Nandi’s stage presence to her exposure to live performances from an early age, her father underscored the importance of both one-on-one lessons and group performances in nurturing her confidence.
Nandi and her father are the driving forces behind Stairways, which will host an open day at Burlington Baptist Church in Ipswich on May 11th.
Explaining the school’s format, Mr. Bushell outlined, “During the first hour, students will receive instruction in guitar, bass, vocals, or keyboard alongside four peers. In the second hour, they will come together to perform as a band, fostering collaboration and musical synergy.”
Nandi emphasized the inclusive nature of the school, stating, “Regardless of age or skill level, everyone is welcome to attend, whether they are just beginning their musical journey or have been playing for years.”
