Eight Band Parades Scheduled Across Northern Ireland This Weekend

This weekend, Northern Ireland will host eight major band parades, spread across Friday and Saturday evenings.

On Friday night (June 21), parades will be held in Kilrea, Omagh, Keady, Killyleagh, and Benburb. On Saturday night (June 22), parades are scheduled in Cookstown, Kilkeel, and Belfast.

1. Kilrea:

Hosted by Boveedy Flute Band in Co. Londonderry.

Parade starts at 8pm.

Route includes Kilrea Orange Hall, Bank Square, Maghera Street, The Diamond, Coleraine Street, Mill Road, Bridge Street, Church Street, Roundabout at the Fire Station, New Row, and back to Kilrea Orange Hall.

Approximately 50 bands expected to participate.

2. Omagh:

Hosted by Omagh Protestant Boys Flute Band in Co. Tyrone.

Parade starts at 8.30pm.

Route includes Campsie Road Car Park, Holmview Terrace, Scout and Guide Hall, Dublin Road, Mountjoy Road, Bridge Street, High Street, Market Street, Irishtown Road, Market Road, and Car Park at the rear of Dunnes/Back Market Car Park.

Approximately 25 bands expected to participate.

3. Keady:

Hosted by Drumderg Loyalists Flute Band in Co. Armagh.

Parade starts at 8pm.

Route includes Annvale Gardens, Tassagh Road, Crossmore Road, and Drumderg Orange Hall.

Approximately 30 bands expected to participate.

4. Killyleagh:

Hosted by Inch Flute Band in Co. Down.

Parade starts at 7pm.

Route includes Killyleagh Orange Hall, Fredrick Street, Dufferin Place, Cross Street, High Street, Castle Lane, Plantation Street, Irish Street, Seaview, Shore Street, and back to Fredrick Street.

Approximately 55 bands expected to participate.

5. Benburb:

Hosted by Benburb Memorial Pipe Band in Co. Tyrone.

Parade starts at 8.30pm.

Route includes Dungannon Road, Main Street, Clonfeacle Road, Moyard, Clonfeacle Road, and Main Street.

Approximately 15 bands expected to participate.

6. Cookstown:

Hosted by Cookstown Sons of William in Co. Tyrone.

Parade starts at 7pm.

Route includes Oldtown Street, William Street, Coagh Street, Union Street, Molesworth Street, James Street, and back to Oldtown Street.

Approximately 40 bands expected to participate.

7. Kilkeel:

Hosted by Pride of Ballinran Flute Band in Co. Down.

Parade starts at 7.40pm.

Route includes Mill Road, Newcastle Street, Bridge Street, Greencastle Street, Knockchree Avenue, Harbour Road, Harbour Drive, and Lower Square Car Park.

Approximately 30 bands expected to participate.

8. Belfast (Sandy Row):

Hosted by Ulster First Flute Band.

Parade starts at 6.30pm.

Route includes Sandy Row Orange Hall, Donegal Road, Shaftsbury Square, Great Victoria Street, Bruce Street, Hope Street, and back to Sandy Row.

Approximately 50 bands expected to participate.
