Boyd Tinsley, the ex-violinist for Dave Matthews Band, has encountered new legal troubles following his arrest for a DUI after an alleged car accident.

The 60-year-old was taken into custody on Monday in Rio, Virginia, after police responded to a two-vehicle collision, TMZ reported. The outlet also obtained a video showing Tinsley in handcuffs at the scene.

Eyewitnesses reported that Tinsley’s Escalade collided with a Corvette, and both drivers pulled over to discuss the incident. Noticing something unusual about Tinsley’s behavior, the Corvette driver reportedly called the police.

Records obtained by TMZ indicate that Tinsley was booked around 9:30 p.m. and released an hour later after posting bond.

This arrest adds to Tinsley’s ongoing legal issues. Four months ago, he faced a lawsuit stemming from 2018 allegations by former Crystal Garden bandmate James Frost-Winn, who accused Tinsley of sexual harassment.

Following these allegations, members of Dave Matthews Band distanced themselves from Tinsley, stating they were “shocked by these disturbing allegations and were not previously aware of them.”

Tinsley denied the allegations and settled out of court with Frost-Winn in June 2019. However, the matter resurfaced in February when Tinsley was sued again for allegedly breaching a non-disparagement clause.
