Australia is now home to the latest lineup of stunning Fender guitars that promise to turn heads.
Founded in 1946, Fender is renowned for iconic models like the Stratocaster and Telecaster, beloved by music legends from Jimi Hendrix to Eric Clapton. Over the years, Fender faced tough competition from lower-cost Japanese alternatives in the late 1970s. To stay competitive, Fender collaborated in 1982 to produce and market instruments specifically for Japan, paving the way for a beloved series of Japanese-made Fender guitars.
Fast forward to today, and Fender introduces its Limited Edition Made in Japan Hybrid II series. This collection features eight models crafted with the latest specifications and stunning new metal ore and sky-inspired finishes.
In 2017, Fender’s Japanese-made guitars underwent a comprehensive upgrade. With meticulous guidance from the U.S. product team, every detail of production, from wood selection to manufacturing processes, was refined to elevate the overall quality, now reflected in the new Hybrid II models.
Each guitar in the Hybrid II range includes vintage locking tuners, a modern “C” shaped neck with a satin finish, a 9.5” radius fingerboard, and narrow-tall frets. Models are equipped with either a two-point tremolo system or vintage-style floating trem. Bass models feature a sustain block under the vintage-style bridge and vintage-style tuners, all boasting newly designed Hybrid II Custom Voiced pickups.
Prices for this exciting range start from $1274, making these guitars both a performer’s dream and a collector’s delight.
