Busker Responds After Dua Lipa’s Reaction at Glastonbury

by Madonna

A viral clip from Glastonbury captured the moment street musician Liam C approached Dua Lipa for a reaction to his ukulele performance, sparking mixed responses on social media.

In the video, Liam, known as Liam C, politely interrupted Dua Lipa the day after her performance, asking her to listen to one of his tunes. He complimented her Camden documentary and mentioned his own busking activities in the area before launching into a song with an Ed Sheeran-esque vibe.

His lyrics went: “I tell myself don’t stress because you’re going to get better, got no money for the week – whatever. Singing in the street like I’m playing Coachella, not a champagne life but I’m happy with a Stella, Stella, yeah. Listen, she don’t do what they tell her, ice cream weather but she’s all black leather. A spice like pepper, 10 out of 10er.”

Shortly after the 30-second mark, Dua Lipa interrupted with positive feedback, saying, “I love it mate, it’s so good, so good, so good.”

While some viewers found the interaction awkward, attributing it to Dua Lipa’s visible discomfort, others defended her natural reaction to a stranger singing directly to her.

Responding to the buzz on social media, Liam C took to X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Keep talking. I’m off to write some bangers #liamc #Glastonbury2024 #DuaLipa.”

Despite the awkwardness, Liam C embraced the moment, reflecting on his weekend at Glastonbury where he also encountered Stormzy. He admitted to attending the festival without paying and celebrated the experience of performing for notable artists like Dua Lipa and Stormzy.

In a reflective moment captured on camera, he expressed gratitude for the experience, emphasizing that being a rockstar often involves overcoming obstacles to pursue one’s dreams.

“Thank you so much Glastonbury 2024. Let’s go and hand ourselves in and get removed, thank you,” he concluded.
