André 3000 spent time in Philadelphia filming the AMC series “Dispatches from Elsewhere” in 2019, where he was spotted walking around the city playing the flute.
Now, the rapper has released an experimental ambient new-age jazz album showcasing his flute skills.
Following the launch of “New Blue Sun,” André 3000 is set to perform in Philadelphia.
André Benjamin, known as André 3000, will take the stage at The Met Philadelphia on Friday, Nov. 1.
He will be joined by Carlos Niño, Surya Botofasina, Nate Mercereau, and Deantoni Parks.
According to The Met’s website, “The stage is set to create a balance between an intimate atmosphere and sensory grandeur. New Blue Sun LIVE is more than just a concert; it’s a sonic odyssey that leaves fans both enchanted and reflective, reaffirming André 3000’s status as a visionary in contemporary music.”
