On Monday, platinum-selling violinist Lindsey Stirling performed a private concert for patients and their families at Children’s Hospital in Omaha.
According to organizers, the music serves to soothe patients and helps teach motivation and endurance through the power of music.
Stirling is inspiring a new generation of violinists with her unique blend of classical violin, pop, rock, and dance music.
“We had a big circle, so the kids got to play along with Lindsey Stirling for a while, and sometimes she called out kids individually to do a solo, so it was great. The kids had a really great time,” said Caleb Hastings, a music therapist at Children’s Nebraska.
For the children who were unable to attend the concert in person, a live feed was available so they could watch from their rooms.
