Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Slash has unveiled a new album celebrating the spine-chilling atmosphere of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The 11-track album, titled SLASH Music Of Universal Studios Hollywood – Halloween Horror Nights, is available exclusively on vinyl. This album features original compositions by the renowned Guns N’ Roses guitarist, crafted over the past six years for the theme park’s “Universal Monsters” haunted house.
Fans can purchase the album exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood through November 3. Additionally, 300 limited-edition vinyls in alternate colors, each signed by Slash, are available at the park’s stores while supplies last.
The album’s artwork, depicting classic Universal monsters, was designed by artist Crash McCreery, with the cover created by Brian Beauregard, executive creative director for Universal Parks and Resort merchandise.
In a statement released Thursday, Slash expressed his long-standing admiration for Halloween Horror Nights and his excitement to collaborate with Universal Studios Hollywood on the haunted house soundtrack.
“Just as music enhances the mood of a film, I composed this score to evoke a sense of emotional terror for the legendary characters in these haunted houses,” said Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson.
This year’s haunted house, titled “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines,” showcases an all-female cast of monsters, including the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula’s Daughter, She-Wolf of London, and the undead Egyptian princess Anck-Su-Namun from the Mummy franchise.
The new experience presents a fresh storyline where guests find themselves in the midst of a dramatic clash between two rival factions of classic female Universal Monsters. The haunted house invites brave souls to navigate a high-stakes battle between the hunted and the hunters.
Located at Sound Stage 12 on the studio backlot—famous for filming iconic horror classics like 1931’s Dracula and Frankenstein, and the 1935 film The Bride of Frankenstein—the Universal Monsters haunted house offers a chilling backdrop to the terrifying experience.
Slash’s eerie and captivating soundtrack, which includes music from both this year’s and previous haunted houses, is now available as a prelude to Halloween. The album, written and produced by Slash and collaborator Stacey Quinealty, was recorded in nearby Burbank.
“Slash’s intricate and haunting compositions will once again enrich the experience of ‘Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines’ at Halloween Horror Nights,” Universal officials noted.
