Steinway & Sons Reopens Piano Showroom Near Stamford After Closing Greenwich Avenue Location

by Madonna

Steinway & Sons has reopened its piano showroom closer to Stamford after closing its previous location on Greenwich Avenue. According to showroom manager Sarah Venditti, the new space offers a fresh start. “Everything is new,” Venditti said, referring to the updated flooring, ceiling, lighting, and a complete build-out. The new showroom is also equipped with acoustic tiles, designed to enhance the space for music recitals, which will be a key feature.

The Greenwich Avenue showroom closed in April at the end of its lease, and Venditti noted that the new location offers several improvements. “We wanted more space, better parking, and the ability to host events,” she explained. “We now have a larger area for that, as well as more pianos and a better selection.”

The Greenwich Steinway & Sons showroom remains the only one in Connecticut, and the company emphasized the significance of the location for the region’s music enthusiasts. “Greenwich has a vibrant musical culture,” said Gavin English, president of Steinway & Sons Americas. “It’s exciting to reenter the community with this new showroom and continue our strong presence in the tri-state area.”

Steinway & Sons, founded in 1853 and based in Queens, N.Y., is renowned for producing high-quality pianos. Venditti, a lifelong pianist, expressed her enthusiasm about working in the new showroom. “As a Steinway fan, it’s a dream. I can still remember playing my first Steinway—it was like driving a really, really nice car.”
