The global ascent towards the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition is gathering pace as the fifth of six preselection contests concludes.
From September 9-13, the prestigious Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone hosted 20 of the world’s top violinists competing for a place in the Classic Violin Olympus Grand Finale.
Haik Kazazyan took home the First Prize, Lorenz Karls won the Second Prize, and Issey Kurihara received the Third Prize.
Along with their shares of the €35,000 prize pool—Haik Kazazyan with €20,000, Lorenz Karls with €10,000, and Issey Kurihara with €5,000—both Haik Kazazyan and Lorenz Karls earned spots in the Classic Violin Olympus in Dubai 2025, with all expenses covered.
The judging panel comprised Jury Chairman Pavel Vernikov (Switzerland), Sarah Nemtanu (France), Tedi Papavrami (Albania/Switzerland), Valeriy Sokolov (Ukraine/Germany), and Ulf Wallin (Sweden/Germany).
