The 11th edition of the International Guitar Festival is back, featuring a diverse program of shows and events designed to celebrate music within the stunning landscapes and cultural heritage of the Municipality of Lagoa.
This year’s festival highlights include performances by Duo Guirimbadu and Trevor Babajack, as well as exciting new initiatives sponsored by DGArtes. Among these is the exhibition “Músicas de Ver,” which focuses on “Lutes of the World.” This culturally significant display will be held at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium from September 21 to November 3.
On October 1, World Music Day, the festival will conclude with a special performance titled “Irish Celtic Night” (“Uma Noite Celta”) at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium.
Tickets are priced at 10 euros, with a 20% discount available for holders of a cultural passport, Lagoa Social card, or Rota do Petisco 2023 Passport. Tickets can be purchased at the Lagoa Municipality ticket offices and online through Bilheteira Online, as well as at CTT, Fnac, Worten, Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, Centro Cultural Convento de S. José, and Balcão Único of the Lagoa Municipal Council.
Organized by the Lagoa Municipal Council in collaboration with the Algarve Guitar Association, the 11th Lagoa International Guitar Festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music and culture.
