The fourth edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival is set to take place from September 21 to 27. This week-long celebration of global music will transform five metro stations—The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC—into vibrant hubs of rhythm and melody from around the world.
Commuters will experience a unique musical journey, as the metro stations come alive with daily performances by 20 talented musicians from both the UAE and internationally. These performers will showcase their talents across a variety of instruments, genres, and styles, adding a special touch to the daily commute.
This year’s festival promises exceptional performances, including a nine-year-old prodigy playing the Qanun, a stringed instrument; a 14-year-old Emirati boy with autism performing on the piano; an innovative show featuring instruments made from recycled materials; and a street artist performance celebrating traditional heritage music.
Other highlights include impressive beatboxing acts, a puppet show with live music, and a dynamic display of global rhythms with an array of percussion instruments. Additionally, there will be a unique drumming show featuring children and visually striking drumming performances with light effects, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all.
Live performances will be available from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily, rotating across the five metro stations throughout the festival’s duration.
