The Watergate Theatre in Kilkenny will host a special musical tribute next month to one of the world’s most renowned composers. The Morricone Experience will celebrate the legacy of the late Ennio Morricone, who composed over 400 film scores during his illustrious career, including classics like A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Cinema Paradiso, and The Mission.
This ensemble performance features internationally acclaimed solo artists now residing in Ireland. Among them are Dundalk locals Annemarie McGahon (viola), Francesca De Nardi (violin), Davide Forti (cello), and Annalisa Monticelli (piano), alongside Dubliners Katy Kelly (soprano) and Morgan Crowley (tenor). Having appeared on RTÉ’s Arena, the group recently performed to sold-out audiences at the Pavilion Theatre and Castletown House and are touring throughout Ireland through the end of 2024.
Tickets for their upcoming performances are selling quickly, with stops in Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Dundalk, Balbriggan, Newbridge, Clare, Dingle, Longford, and more to be announced. Tickets range from €20 to €27 and are available through linktr.ee/theenniomorriconeexperience or directly from the Watergate Theatre.
Don’t miss The Ennio Morricone Experience at the Watergate Theatre on October 26.
