Violinist Daniel Lozakovich Unveils New Debut Album, “Grieg, Franck, Shor-Pletnev, Shostakovich”

Daniel Lozakovich, the talented violinist, has released his debut album, Grieg, Franck, Shor-Pletnev, Shostakovich, in collaboration with renowned pianist Mikhail Pletnev. The album features a selection of exquisite pieces, including Edvard Grieg’s “Solveig’s Song” and Violin Sonata No. 3, Op. 45, César Franck’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8, Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Romance” from The Gadfly, and the Violin Sonata in B minor by Alexey Shor and Mikhail Pletnev.

Alain Lanceron, President of Warner Classics & Erato, praised Lozakovich, stating, “While he is a young player of today, his artistry, poetry, and integrity place him in the great tradition of the 20th-century violinists who set the benchmarks for the recorded catalog.”

Lozakovich expressed his aspirations for the album, saying, “My main goal in joining this legendary label is to have artistic freedom, create a musical world, and record works of immortal beauty with musicians I love. For me, making music is a spiritual key to unlocking the truth of the soul.”

Throughout his career, Daniel has received numerous accolades, including First Prize at the 2016 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition, “The Young Artist of the Year 2017” Award at the Festival of Nations, the Premio Batuta Award in Mexico, and the Excelentia Prize under the Honorary Presidency of Queen Sofia of Spain. This season, he is set to embark on a European tour, with performances scheduled in Sweden, Monaco, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and more.
