Ken Corday, the Emmy Award-winning producer and composer of Days of Our Lives, has announced an exclusive solo piano concert series to benefit the SAG-AFTRA Foundation in Burbank. The concerts will take place for three nights only on October 23, 25, and 26, 2024, at the Garry Marshall Theatre.
Following a sold-out run last fall, Corday returns to the stage for his second annual benefit concert series titled “Songs Without Words,” featuring a brand-new collection of entirely original compositions. Each evening, he will perform his own music, joined by surprise special guests who will introduce him.
All proceeds from ticket sales will support the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Emergency Assistance Program, which provides financial aid to artists facing unexpected financial hardships.
“I am so thrilled to be able to, once again, share my own music with the world,” Corday expressed, according to Peacock. “Music has always been a great passion of mine, and the opportunity to share the different styles of contemporary American piano compositions I’ve been working on while also benefiting a cause close to my heart is nothing short of a dream. I hope my music brings as much joy to the hearts of all those who listen, as it does for me to perform it.”
Corday began his composing career in television in 1977 with Days of Our Lives, where he continues to craft the show’s music. He has been honored with six Emmy Awards for his compositions.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Emergency Assistance Program serves as a crucial support system for artists facing extreme financial difficulties, helping them maintain basic needs such as housing, medical expenses, and groceries, thereby providing safety, courage, and hope.
Tickets for the concert series are available for $60 through the Garry Marshall ticketing office.
