Here’s something to brighten your day. In Waldo County, Maine, one man’s trash has become another man’s musical treasure.
Ron Spear, a 73-year-old local from Belfast, has a deep passion for the piano. As reported by WABI, Ron has been playing for as long as he can remember. Growing up in a musically inclined family, with his mother on piano and his father on trumpet, music has always been a significant part of his life. In fact, he even played in a band with his dad!
Life took its course, and there was a time when Ron stopped playing. However, he later discovered a unique venue to share his talent: the Belfast Transfer Station. Approximately two months ago, someone dropped off a piano, and Ron couldn’t resist the opportunity to play it. Soon after, an organ appeared, and that’s when things really began to take off.
Now, Ron entertains anyone passing by, and the locals absolutely love it!
