Acclaimed singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe has released her latest single, “There You Are,” a heartfelt piano ballad that showcases her ethereal vocals. Known for her captivating performances, Monroe recently mesmerized audiences across the UK during her tour with Little Big Town and delivered an emotional set at AmericanaFest over the weekend.
“There You Are,” written by Jessi Alexander, Margaret Findley, and Sally Barris, is a powerful addition to Monroe’s repertoire. She has collaborated with these songwriters on several of her beloved tracks, including “Weed Instead of Roses.”
Reflecting on the song, Monroe shared, “Sally Barris was one of the first people I wrote with in Nashville. She co-wrote ‘Satisfied,’ ‘Used,’ ‘Weed Instead of Roses,’ and many others I’ve recorded over the years. Sally taught me new chords, helped my mom and me find a place to live when we moved from Knoxville, and really shaped the way I write.”
