Cristian Sandrin, a London-based musician, is set to perform at Central Hall, Dolphin Centre, at 3 PM on October 20.
This concert marks the first of six recitals featuring international pianists, all of whom will be making their debut performances for the society.
Cristian moved to the UK at the age of 19 to study at the Royal Academy of Music and made his debut at Wigmore Hall in 2017.
In the 2024-25 season, he will perform at St John’s Smith Square and in Milan, as well as making his debut at the Beethovenhaus in Bonn, Germany.
His recital program will include Purcell’s Suite No. 7, two sonatas by Mozart, Schumann’s Kreisleriana, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, arranged by Mikhail Pletnev.
Greg Johnson, the society chairman, remarked, “Cristian’s program is a readily accessible start to the season, with early Mozart sonatas at its core, and I encourage everyone to attend the recital.
“This season features a wide range of works, from the 17th-century compositions of Orlando Gibbons to contemporary pieces by living composers, Carl Vine and Alvidas Remesa.”
