The Czech Museum of Music in Prague resonated with enchanting piano melodies as Malaysian pianist Claudia Yang delivered a captivating performance to honor Malaysia’s Independence Day and Malaysia Day.
The concert, held on September 26, skillfully blended European classical music with beloved Malaysian tunes, including Getaran Jiwa and Chan Mali Chan, mesmerizing the audience.
The event was a significant success, attended by notable figures such as Jiří Kozák, the Czech Republic’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In attendance were members of the Malaysian diaspora, government officials, friends of Malaysia, and Czech ambassadors and diplomats who had recently completed their assignments in Malaysia.
Malaysia’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, Suzilah Mohd Sidek, stated that the concert aimed to highlight Malaysia’s internationally acclaimed pianist and its rich musical heritage.
“Europeans generally have a deep appreciation for classical music, so we chose the Museum of Music as the venue,” she explained.
“Many attendees remarked on the unique experience, as it was their first time visiting the museum and enjoying a concert in such an extraordinary setting,” she added.
