Brett Garsed, guitarist from the John Farnham band, has donated his track “From The Inside” to the Guitars For Vets’ “Second Tour” project.
Garsed explains, “I originally released this song a few years ago but recently donated it to the Guitars For Veterans Australia program. It’s been included in their second album, titled ‘Second Tour’.”
This rendition features Gerry Pantazis on drums, Craig Newman on bass, and backing vocals by Helena Leijon Eriksson, Lucinda Franco, and Shannen Wick. It also includes a string arrangement by Lee Bradshaw, performed by The Budapest Scoring Orchestra, and a top-tier mix by David Carr.
All proceeds from the album go toward providing guitars and lessons to veterans dealing with PTSD, helping them access the therapeutic benefits of music. Support the cause by purchasing the album via Bandcamp.
Garsed’s contributions to John Farnham’s albums include ‘Whispering Jack,’ ‘Age of Reason,’ ‘Chain Reaction,’ ‘Full House,’ and ‘Romeo’s Heart.’ He was also part of the U.S. band Nelson, playing lead guitar on their No. 1 hit ‘(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection.’
In addition to his work with Farnham and Nelson, Garsed has released two solo albums: Big Sky (2002) and Dark Matter (2011).
