Roland Introduces Earth Piano, Integrating 50 Years of Piano Innovation into Your DAW

Roland, a leader in digital piano manufacturing with 50 years of piano development, has launched Earth Piano, a new software instrument designed to enhance your DAW experience.

Earth Piano features seven customizable acoustic piano types, promising “Roland’s best and most modern piano sound technology.” It combines multisamples with proprietary modeling techniques to deliver a rich sound palette.

The available piano options include various concert grands, upright pianos, felt pianos, and toy pianos, allowing users to find the perfect tone. You can fine-tune your piano’s temperament, stereo width, and dynamic range, along with physical parameters like cabinet resonance, string resonance, and pedal noise. Furthermore, each key’s tuning, volume, and character can be adjusted individually.

To shape your sound further, Earth Piano offers a variety of convolution-based spaces and algorithmic reverbs, along with a three-band EQ, multi-mode compressor, and extensive multi-effects.

As part of Roland’s latest offerings, Earth Piano is included in the Roland Cloud Ultimate subscription. It is also available as a Lifetime Key for an introductory price of $50 until November 30, after which the price will return to $250.
