An unsuspecting owner was left in awe when her cat, Goose, seized the opportunity to play the piano while left alone on the stool, producing a surprisingly melodic tune.
Goose took to the 88 keys, performing what could be called his “Piano Piece for Four Paws.” With his tail waving expressively, the feline’s solo began with a series of crunchy chords reminiscent of Eric Whitacre’s style.
After a few variations on the initial theme, Goose paused thoughtfully before introducing a bluesy triplet. This talented cat certainly has a knack for music!
The performance concluded with a charming descent into the lower register, ending with a slightly tentative exit.
Rebecca, Goose’s owner, was clearly impressed by her pet’s talent, captioning the video: “My son, Goose. A child prodigy.” The comment section echoed her sentiments, with viewers urging, “Get this cat in lessons immediately,” and, “I feel like I’m at a jazz club—definitely a prodigy.”
This wasn’t Goose’s first musical endeavor; Rebecca had previously shared a video of a duet where she played chords while Goose improvised a bass line.
We’re thoroughly impressed and hope to see Goose signed to a record deal soon!
