AG Presents is thrilled to announce the Aloha Music Series at Mulligans On The Blue, featuring Maui’s ukulele virtuosos Andrew and Jay Molina on Wednesday, November 6th.
This special evening will also welcome dynamic singer-songwriters Tempa and Naor, who previously performed with Andrew and Jay two months ago to rave reviews. Hana Hou!!
Before the main event, Andrew will host a beginner’s ukulele lesson at 4:30 PM. With years of teaching experience, Andrew is excited to share his passion for the ukulele. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in learning how to play! The lesson is priced at just $10 and is limited to 10 participants.
Join the acclaimed father-son duo, Andrew and Jay Molina, as they share songs, stories, and laughter, taking the audience on a musical journey through the “World of Ukulele.” World-class violinist Willy Wainwright will also join them as a special guest for this unforgettable evening.
“Andrew Molina is one of my favorite musicians. He works incredibly hard on his craft and approaches the ukulele in such a unique way,” said renowned ukulele artist Jake Shimabukuro.
Andrew’s three albums have been nominated for “Ukulele Album of the Year” at the prestigious Nā Hōkū Hanohano music awards, Hawaii’s equivalent of the Grammys. He has also graced the cover of England’s Uke Magazine. His music has been featured in video promotions for Hawaiian Airlines and Ocean Vodka, and can even be heard on select Hawaiian Airlines flights.
From sweet Hawaiian melodies to renditions of Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” and “Stairway to Heaven,” Andrew and his father, Jay, on bass and guitar, demonstrate that anything is possible on the ukulele. Andrew continually seeks to elevate the ukulele’s status and inspire people of all ages by showcasing the instrument’s potential.
