Melbourne’s beloved new wave band Pseudo Echo, known for rocking audiences since 1982, has welcomed a new guitarist to the fold as part of their ongoing efforts to keep the groove alive. Yesterday, the band took to social media to introduce Andrea Krakovská as the newest official member, joining vocalist and guitarist Brian Canham on stage.
Fans were quick to express their excitement over the news, having seen Krakovská guest with the band on previous occasions. Many took to the comments to warmly welcome her, calling her a “brilliant” addition to the group and eagerly anticipating her full-time presence in the lineup.
Krakovská brings a wealth of musical experience to Pseudo Echo. Having trained in classical piano and ballet from a young age, she later picked up the guitar, an instrument she’s been dedicated to ever since. In addition to her role in Pseudo Echo, Krakovská is also a member of the all-female country band Southbound and the all-female rock group Toxic Dolls. She has also pursued solo projects, with her debut single Elusion showcasing her distinct musical style.
Elusion is an electrifying rock anthem that highlights Krakovská’s raw talent through powerful riffs and captivating melodic moments. What sets her apart as a solo artist is her unique fusion of aerial choreography and guitar playing. Earlier this year, she performed an aerial guitar set at Sydney’s Lennox Theatre, combining instrumental rock and metal with breathtaking aerial artistry.
With a deep passion for music in all its forms, Krakovská’s extensive background and creative spirit make her a perfect fit for Pseudo Echo’s ongoing journey. The band is currently wrapping up their Machine Tour this November and will be hitting the road again in 2025 for their Love An Adventure Tour.
