Emmy-nominated trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III will join singer and actress Stella Katherine Cole for a performance of the jazz-inspired show “Some Enchanted Evening” at the McCallum Theatre this Wednesday.
The multi-disciplinary performance, which promises a vibrant journey through Broadway classics, is part of an ongoing tour that will make a stop in the Coachella Valley on Wednesday evening.
Benack, who previously performed at the McCallum Theatre in February with “Sing and Swing: Our American Songbook,” will return to Palm Desert to honor Broadway’s musical legacy. The New York Times has praised Benack for his charisma, calling him “a young trumpeter with a distinctive voice who also shines as a singer.”
Cole, a rising star with over 850,000 followers on TikTok, brings her own flair to the Great American Songbook. She released her debut self-titled album in August and draws inspiration from musical legends such as Judy Garland and Samara Joy.
The show will also feature tap dancer Jayu Graybeal and a five-piece band, delivering an unforgettable experience “from Hammerstein to Hamilton.”
Following the 7 p.m. performance on Wednesday, “Some Enchanted Evening” will travel to Arizona before returning for additional performances in Glendora and Long Beach over the weekend.
