Greek heavy/power metal band Sirius is embarking on an exciting new chapter in their journey. The band has announced the addition of George Koursoumis as their new rhythm guitarist, marking the occasion with the release of a lyric video for “Unbound The Scream.”
The band shared their excitement with fans, stating: “We’ve been silent for a while now… The last few months have been a whirlwind of emotions and actions for us. A new album is out, and the response has been overwhelming! Unfortunately, we had to part ways with our long-time rhythm guitarist for personal reasons. We want to thank Dimitris Stathopoulos for the journey. But, with great pleasure, we would like to reveal the new addition to the Sirius family. Please welcome George Koursoumis on rhythm guitar! Having George with us is a great boost for what is about to come.”
To celebrate this fresh start, Sirius has released a lyric video for “Unbound The Scream,” the opening track of their album A Quest For Life. The song features a guest appearance from Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth), with the band describing the collaboration as an honor. “His powerful voice blends beautifully with our music!” the band stated. The song explores the personal struggles and inner conflicts humans face, reaching a point of overwhelming emotion.
