Nagaland became the stage for a historic cultural exchange as Drum Tao, the renowned Japanese drumming troupe, made their debut performance in India. Using only traditional Japanese instruments in their signature non-verbal style, Drum Tao captivated audiences at the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival, leaving both Nagas and international tourists spellbound.

The troupe’s first performance took place during the festival’s opening ceremony, where their high-energy act thrilled the crowd. Continuing their tour in Nagaland, Drum Tao performed on Day 3 at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, on December 4.
