Massey Theatre will host an unforgettable evening of guitar excellence as International Guitar Night marks its 25th anniversary on February 1 at 7:30 pm.
The lineup for this milestone edition, curated by founder Brian Gore, features a stellar group of musicians. Among them is German guitar virtuoso Lulo Reinhardt, the grandnephew of jazz legend Django Reinhardt. Known for his mastery of world music and Latin swing, Reinhardt is a favorite of IGN audiences.
Also performing is the U.K.’s Alexandra Whittingham, a versatile guitarist whose repertoire spans both classical and contemporary works. Niwel Tsumbu, originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, brings his distinctive Congolese percussive style, which he has honed while living in Ireland for the past 25 years. Rounding out the lineup is Germany’s Sönke Meinen, a leading contemporary fingerstyle guitarist, known for blending fast-paced compositions with emotive ballads.
