China Exports Traditional Musical Instruments to Over 40 Countries

by Madonna

Lankao County in Henan Province, central China, has established itself as a leading global center for the production and export of traditional Chinese musical instruments. These instruments, crafted from locally sourced paulownia wood, undergo meticulous inspections by skilled tuners before being shipped to over 40 countries, according to People’s Daily Online, a partner of TV BRICS.

Paulownia wood, known for its fast growth, lightweight structure, and fine grain, is highly prized for creating pure, resonant tones. These attributes make it an exceptional material for crafting soundboards in musical instruments.
