Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has postponed his upcoming Las Vegas residency following an injury sustained in an accidental fall at his vacation home in Kauai, Hawaii.
The 77-year-old musician was scheduled to perform at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay Resort from January 22 through February 8. These dates will be rescheduled, and tickets will remain valid for the new performances.
According to a statement by Michael Vrionis, President of Universal Tone Management, Santana broke the little finger on his left hand, requiring pins to be inserted. As a result, he will be unable to play guitar for approximately six weeks.
“Carlos is doing well and is eager to return to the stage as soon as he heals,” Vrionis stated. “Santana deeply regrets having to postpone these performances, but his health is our top priority. He looks forward to seeing his fans very soon.”
Despite the temporary setback, Santana’s Vegas residency is expected to resume on May 14, with performances running through May 25. Fans eagerly await his return to the stage, where he will once again showcase his legendary talent.
