Footage from Slipknot’s 2004 tour has resurfaced, showcasing the incredible drumming skills of then-drummer Joey Jordison. The band was on their Subliminal Verses World Tour, which ran from March 30, 2004, to November 15, 2005. The footage, shared by award-winning filmmaker and photographer Fran Strine on YouTube, captures Jordison in peak form during the 2004 leg of the tour, and it’s bound to leave viewers in awe.
In the video, Strine writes, “Here you’ll find never-before-seen footage I captured while touring with Slipknot back in 2004. This is a rare look into the world of one of metal’s most iconic bands during their peak. Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience and relive the madness of the Slipknot live experience, along with unforgettable moments with Corey Taylor, Clown, Jim Root, Mick Thomson, Paul Gray, Joey Jordison, and the entire band!”
Sadly, Jordison would only play on one more Slipknot album—All Hope Is Gone in 2008—before departing the band in 2013. He later formed new bands, Sinsaenum and Scar The Martyr, with the former seeing him through until his untimely death in 2021. Jordison’s passing left a significant void in the drumming community and the music world as a whole.
