Behringer has introduced the RD-78, a vintage-inspired analog drum machine influenced by the iconic Roland CR-78, famously used by artists like Phil Collins, Blondie, and Tears for Fears.
Designed for intuitive programming, the RD-78 features a 16-step drum sequencer that allows users to create and merge up to 250 bars at once. Additionally, it supports real-time switching of up to 32 independent patterns, offering a versatile and dynamic workflow for both live performances and studio sessions.
The RD-78 comes equipped with 15 onboard sounds and 34 built-in rhythms, ensuring a wide range of classic and modern drum patterns. For seamless external processing and multitrack recording, it includes 10 independent analog outputs, providing flexibility for producers and sound designers.
Connectivity is a key highlight, as the RD-78 supports full MIDI and USB implementation, along with USB, MIDI, Clock, and Internal sync support. With its retro charm and modern functionality, Behringer’s RD-78 is set to be a compelling option for electronic musicians and drum machine enthusiasts alike.
