Renowned for his “extraordinary expressive intelligence,” pianist Sergey Belyavsky is celebrated for his vast and diverse repertoire, earning recognition as “one of the best pianists in the world today.”
With over thirty international competition prizes to his name, Sergey’s accolades include the Second Prize and Audience Prize at the 76th Concours de Genève, as well as the First Prize at the Malaga International Piano Competition in Spain. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Salle Gaveau in Paris, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Additionally, Sergey has appeared as a concerto soloist with internationally acclaimed orchestras, including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra.
The Pharos Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the Malaga International Piano Competition, will bring this exceptional pianist to Cyprus for a recital on Friday, March 7, at The Shoe Factory in Nicosia at 8:30 p.m.
For his Cyprus debut, Sergey Belyavsky promises to captivate the audience with his technical prowess and deeply nuanced interpretations in a bold and ambitious program featuring works by C.P.E. Bach, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, and Schumann.
