Gordon Morison, drummer of the U.K. extreme metal band Raging Speedhorn, shared his deep appreciation for his Premier drum kit, emphasizing its significance in his career.
Morison has owned his blue Premier drum kit for over 25 years, using it to perform at major festivals such as Ozzfest, Download, Reading and Leeds Festival, Bloodstock, and Damnation, as well as on numerous tours across the U.K., Ireland, and Europe. Every Raging Speedhorn album has been recorded with this kit, making it an essential part of the band’s sound.
When Raging Speedhorn first secured a record deal in 1999, Morison acquired the kit from the drummer of Fudge Tunnel, a notable band from the 1990s. The drum kit features a 24-inch bass drum, a 14-inch tom, and an 18-inch floor tom, producing a massive sound that cuts through the mix.
Raging Speedhorn’s latest album, Night Wolf, is out now.
