Fingerlab DM10, the successor to the popular DM1 drum machine app for iOS, has received a major 2.0 update with a range of new features, including AUv3 support, additional synthesizer options, and more.
Released just one month after its debut, the DM10 app’s 2.0 update introduces several exciting changes. The randomizer menu has been enhanced with new step and playhead mutation options, along with a drumkits randomizer. Users can now experiment with step probability in the sequencer, which can be accessed through the mixer automation panel in the app.
Another notable addition is the ability to set tempo and drumkit changes for each pattern. The update also allows for automation of levels and panning for both the bass and lead mixers. Additionally, the choke group functionality is now fully operational with the pads.
The 2.0 update also includes significant improvements in MIDI functionality. MIDI notes and CC now have independent settings, and new MIDI mapping parameters such as tap tempo and playhead randomization have been added. Along with these enhancements, the update includes numerous bug fixes.
In terms of content, Fingerlab DM10 2.0 introduces four brand-new drum kits: Hammond Autovari 64, Kawai R-100, Siel MDP-40, and Fairlight CMI.
The new features and improvements in this update further enhance the DM10 app, making it an even more powerful tool for music creators. Fingerlab continues to impress with its ongoing development of this versatile drum machine and synth app.
