This weekend, a cycling DJ will bring his legendary mobile dance party back to the streets of London – and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Dom Worthing is set to kick off his 2025 season of Drum and Bass on the Bike with an hour-long ride past the capital’s iconic landmarks on Sunday, March 23.
Dom will cruise around on a bicycle equipped with decks and speakers, accompanied by a crowd of music lovers also riding their bikes. The event will begin at the Wellington Arch in Hyde Park Corner at 2 p.m., covering a route of over 16 km.
Cyclists will loop around Central London, passing landmarks like Oxford Street, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Royal Exchange, The Tower of London, Somerset House, The London Eye, Big Ben, and The Houses of Parliament. The ride will conclude with a final stretch down The Mall in St James’s Park, before coming to a stop near Buckingham Palace.
Dom shared his excitement: “It’s been two years since we last visited London, and everyone, including myself, has been eagerly awaiting this moment. I’m thrilled to bring the first UK ride back to where it all started! This year’s events will be bigger than ever, with more locations, more sound, and more vibes.”
The 28-year-old DJ created the concept during the lockdown as a way to keep people dancing when clubs were closed. Since then, he’s taken his ‘party bike’ to cities like Bristol, Bournemouth, and Reading, growing his following with every ride.
A former car mechanic from High Wycombe, Dom once told MyLondon that cycling through London for a performance was the most chaotic show he’d done, given the busy streets filled with buses, delivery drivers, and cyclists. He went viral after sharing a video of himself nodding at two police officers in Hyde Park while his music played loudly around him.
Now with over 800,000 social media followers, Dom has even taken his mobile dance party to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Anyone wishing to join Dom for this Sunday’s ride can access free Forest bike hire via the Veelzy mapping app. Those with their own bikes can simply meet at Hyde Park Corner to join the ride.
