The Neave Piano Trio will take the stage at Cherry Hill on Sunday, March 23, with their performance starting at 3 p.m. Following the concert, a reception will be held in the dining room and parlors of the 1858 plantation house.
Formed in 2010, the Neave Piano Trio has garnered widespread acclaim for its dynamic and innovative performances. The name “Neave,” which is Gaelic for “bright” and “radiant,” aptly reflects the trio’s vibrant music-making, as praised by music critics. The group features violinist Anna Williams, cellist Mikhail Veselov, and pianist Eri Nakamura. They have performed at prestigious concert series and festivals across the globe, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and other renowned venues. Additionally, the trio has held residency positions at institutions such as Brown University, the University of Virginia, Bard College, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
The program for Sunday’s performance will include David Ludwig’s Three Yiddish Dances, Bedrich Smetana’s Piano Trio No. 1 in G minor, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor. Admission will be available at the door, with tickets priced at $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free entry for children 12 and under.
The Cherry Hill Concert Series, founded in 1982 by Warren County resident Edgar Thorne, is hosted in the 1858 plantation home of the George Washington Alston family. The home, meticulously preserved by the Alston family’s descendants and the Cherry Hill Historical Foundation, will be open for tours following the concert.
