Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is set to unveil The Collection: Kirk Hammett, a captivating coffee table book that offers an in-depth look into the guitars that have shaped his career and life. Available for pre-order through Gibson Publishing, this 400-page book includes exclusive interviews with Hammett, conducted by Chris Vinnicombe and Mark Agnesi. It also features stunning photographs by Ross Halfin, which capture Hammett’s impressive collection of guitars, including legendary pieces like his 1979 Flying V and “Greeny,” the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard once owned by rock icons Peter Green and Gary Moore.
“I’ve worked hard to curate this collection of vintage and modern guitars for the book,” Hammett shared. “I believe the book truly captures the rich history and artistry behind each of these one-of-a-kind instruments.”
The book’s teaser is narrated by Jason Momoa, and it will be available in a standard edition, as well as in deluxe (limited to 1,500 copies) and custom editions (limited to 300 copies), each signed by Hammett.
