British djenty nü-metal band Hacktivist has revealed significant changes to their lineup. Vocalists Jermaine Hurley and JJ Olifent remain as the core members, but the band has officially parted ways with drummer Richard Hawking, guitarist James Hewitt, and bassist Josh Gurner. Hacktivist shared that a new lineup is in the works, urging fans to stay tuned for updates.
In a statement, Hacktivist expressed gratitude towards the departing members and reassured fans that there is no ill will. “Today we’re announcing that drummer Richard Hawking, guitarist James Hewitt, and bassist Josh Gurner will not be continuing in the band with us,” the band wrote. “We’re super grateful for their contributions and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. Tough decisions have been made on all sides, but we can assure all of our supporters that there’s no bad blood between us. It’s all love. Richard Hawking was an original member of Hacktivist since its formation in 2011, while Hewitt and Gurner joined the band in 2018. Fans are eagerly awaiting further details on the band’s next chapter.
