UJAM has announced that its Virtual Guitarist SPARKLE 2 plugin, an electric rhythm guitar instrument designed for pop, rock, and funk tracks, will be available for free download from March 25 through May 4, 2025. SPARKLE 2 is designed to deliver crisp chord voicings and tight rhythmic performances, providing studio-ready electric guitar parts without the need for complex programming or guitar-playing skills.
SPARKLE 2 is part of UJAM’s expanding Virtual Guitarist series, which offers producers and songwriters polished, versatile tools for crafting professional rhythm guitar tracks. With 30 musical styles and 350 phrases, it covers a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, and funk. Each title in the series focuses on a specific playing style or genre, allowing users to access electric and acoustic guitars tailored to various musical contexts. The plugin features selectable pickup and amp combinations, multiple playing techniques, and mix-ready effects, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles.
Building on the original SPARKLE plugin, SPARKLE 2 offers enhanced realism, greater responsiveness, and expanded tonal options. It is designed for fast, flexible production, enabling users to quickly create professional-quality guitar tracks without the complexity of manual guitar tracking.
The plugin offers key features such as 30 styles and 350 phrases, with a song-based structure that includes strummed chords, riffs, and octaves across multiple genres. It provides clean to crunchy electric tones, with adjustable amp and pickup selections for varied sounds. Users can also switch between chord, octave, and riff playing modes, and fine-tune timing and feel for different performance grooves. SPARKLE 2 includes onboard studio-grade effects, such as EQ, delay, reverb, and modulation, for mix-ready results. Additionally, users can easily export patterns into any DAW via MIDI drag and drop.
Virtual Guitarist SPARKLE 2 is available in VST 3, AU 2, and AAX formats for both Mac and PC, with native support for Apple Silicon.
